We are approaching the home stretch now...Laid the Black Loop Mercedes Carpet and Completed the Driver's and Passenger's Door Panels in White Italian Leather with Black Double-Stitching Detail. Can't wait to see this come together with the Seating tomorrow!
Be sure to check back & View the final seating touches and the Interior pics. Gonna get out and enjoy this beautiful Carolina weather....Autumn is in the air! For the past three days we have been working on the "bones structure" of this 1972 Volvo Sport Wagon. We mold our panels out of ABS, which provides Precision Fit and Long-Lasting Quality to our interiors. As you can see in the Side and Kick Panel pictures, the boards are molded and fabricated for each section. Keep in mind this is a work in progress and is ongoing fabrication. They are Custom-Fit and the material is attached to each panel. The contrasting White Italian Leather and Black Carpeting will provide the backdrop for the Bright White Custom Italian Leather Seats. The Headliner was crafted from Black Ultrasuede.
It's gonna be a beauty! So stay tuned! Today the seats were completed! Taking the interior from a medium brown tone to an eye-catching bright white Italian Leather with black piping trim is quite a transition! We are pleased with the seats and are excited to move onto the next portion of the interior...the Headliner! Now for a break to take in some local football...we will return to the grind on Monday.
Ya'll have a sunny beautiful weekend! Today the customer delivered his white 1972 Volvo 1800. The workmanship on this car is outstanding! It has been completely restored down to the new lizard skin ceramic heat and acoustical spray-in-barrier system. The car was delivered on a roll-back, as the customer is awaiting new fuel injectors to make the pristine engine PURRRRR! While here, our customer reviewed the progress on the seats. He was quite pleased with what he beheld. This interior will complement the body of the car beautifully and is really going to POP! We contacted the supplier for the dash light bulbs & sockets for the '67 Plymouth Barracuda. We are working to a solution on the odd-sized bulb sockets...Looking forward to installing new headers on the beast of a 360 engine in the 'Cuda. Stay tuned for more Volvo & Barracuda Updates!... Well its Monday in the soggy foothills of NC. Hope there is Sun shining where you are. Today we start phase three of our 1972 Volvo 1800 Sport Wagon. Phase 1 was establishing customer requirements and expectations. Phase two was Building the Dash in White Italian Leather with Black detail stitching. (Turned out very nice, photos later.) Phase 3 is the reconstruction of the seating. From foam out these will be new. We will try to stay as close to Original in form, but add some new model detail to make this interior "kick it through the uprights" footballs starting, ya know! Stay tuned! |
